Psiconauts, the forgotten children of Pedro Rivero and Alberto Vázquez

Spain, 2015.

Psiconauts, the forgotten children is an atypical work that uses the typical iconography of the cartoon series to tell us an intense poetic and social history. In it, it is narrated the struggle of its two protagonists Birdboy and Dinki, who try to escape the asphyxiating atmosphere that is breathed on the island where they live, a place that lost all its splendor because of a terrible industrial accident.

Making Faces is a masterclass of Oscar®-winning animator Chris Landreth, for animators and creators of characters who want to master the art of facial animation. Since we were born, we have been programmed to see the small details of human faces. This course focuses on creating and animating faces of human characters that are "correct": realistic, credible and convincing. You will learn the alphabet of the language of human faces. This alphabet is known as FACS, the facial action coding system, developed by pioneering psychologist Paul Ekman 40 years ago, a system used by character animators and animation studios universally up to these days.

Is an animation movie written in the same way as an actual movie?

The technical process does not determine what is written, but the graphic character can determine how it is written. Based on the scriptwriting and audiovisual language tools, we will find out how the creative procedure of an animated film can become a unique cinematographic experience.

GIFMe Space

GIFMe Space is the national contest of animated and animated GIFs. "Dance and imagination as powerful tools of resistance"

For the second time we took the GIF from its natural place, the web, to invade the walls of the public space and once again it transformed from a silent object to a sound object.

This year the call is divided into two categories: University and Open. For each one, Friday of Perreo selected a track of avant-garde producers within the tropical electronic scene.

The result will be a party in the public space, an anti mapping on one of the exterior walls of the Claustro de Sor Juana University in San Jerónimo Street of the CDMX Historical Center.

GIFMe Space will be held on Friday, December 1 with the music of EsamiPau feat. Sotomayor, Borchi and Papi Pérez. The visuals will be in charge of the Medusalab collective.
